Honestly this is a winnable fight for BJ. Hall has bad takedowns and striking. BJ also should be able to stifle him on the ground and land ground and pound if needed. Honestly I might go with BJ here.

BJ is still my favorite fighter of all time. In his prime this would have been a laughable matchup in BJ’s favor. Now, who knows. I guess I favor Lentz.

BJ was an excellent fighter. I believe what separated him from the rest of the fighters in his generation was that he was so good at everything. His striking was outstanding, his wrestling (and even more so his tdd) was unreal, and well we know how he got his nickname so his bjj kinda speaks for itself. But todays fighters are so much better and well rounded that it would essentially take away BJ's advantages. It's like the opinion I have that GSP is the greatest WW of all time, but I think Woodley at his best smokes GSP at his best.

B Penn has CTE, and shouldn't be sanctioned to fight. It's that simple, and the UFC should be ashamed for booking this. The confused, slow, plodding creature that looked like a deer in the headlights against Dennis Siver is not someone I want to see in a cage ever again.

It's almost like the UFC said, "Hey we know he's going to get hurt bad & he has no business fighting anymore, but he will provide a miniscule ratings bump so who cares about his health." That has to be it because anyone who watched his last fight knows he isn't UFC caliber.

LMFAO you guys never learn. Its not up to you. Its up to the fighters, the grown-men & women. You EARN that damage. BJ Penn isn't feeling sorry for himself why the FOOK would you? Good money to be made and BJ WANTS to fight. There's a massive difference in being "Yes Men" and letting a GOAT go out his own way. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Sounds similar to chuck liddel. Really the fact they earned the right to go out as they choose must b why both get sanctioned to fight still. I bet they both make more money now then in their prime. I cant blame them. As a past fan of them both i am scared for both hoping they dont end up like ali did.

Yeah Carlos and chiesa seems odd, can't believe chiesa thinks welterweight is the answer I expect a show from Condit here.

Chiesa by sub. The game has passed Condit by and it's time for him to hang em' up. He hasn't evolved and the competition has.

Well I know for sure Chiesa is not among those 'evolved' fighters. And so I see him being destroyed. Granted chiesa may have the body type to be a welterweight, it just seems laughable to even consider him standing next to Woodley let alone in the octagon.

Jones vs. Gustafsson II
Jon Jones, DEC
According to reports from Helwani and Okamoto, the UFC is planning to strip Cormier of the belt and have Jones and Gus fight for the Vacant title in December. I'm fine with it, as I don't see Cormier defending the 205 belt. Jones-Gus 1 was my first live UFC event, a bday gift from my then-girlfriend, now-wife when we lived in Toronto. I expected a squash match and was treated to one of the greatest fights of all time. Hopefully this one lives up to the hype.
