combat sports is hard to predict

when something looks guaranteed
they'll pull 5 new tricks
makes me wonder - who has the joy sticks
someone should do something
cause this system is sick
what lies ahead no one seems to care
no one will know about tienanmen square
or free speech, or masculine minds
stats say chicks are more likely to comply
most mad no one knows who to blame
our fighter is paid by strangers
to stream war video games
now they say we can't help ukraine
no one sees the problem?
fine, back to the topic at hand

Tukhugov vs. Almeida
Zubaira Tukhugov, DEC
I could see a world where Tukhugov gets caught with a big shot and then gets droped and koed but i have to go with the safe bet which is Tukhugov keeping distance and poping the jab also he could wrestle Almeida as well. So im picking Zubaira Tukhigov by UD

I'd like to take a moment before Saturday to personally thank everyone who put money on Oliveira and brought Islam back to a -150.

I love the fact this card starts so early. I love cards later in the day too but I like that we’re gonna get right into the action

I actually kinda hate it. Apart from the fact that I have stuff to do literally all day since 7am, early MMA events are... weird for me. Like if everything goes to **** and the card goes terribly wrong on a normal Saturday, I can just go to bed sad. But this card's gonna end at like 5pm. All that time to dwell on the possible failure that could be UFC 280. I suppose it could also be a lot of time to be ecstatic and excited for the future in MMA, but that's a scary game of Russian roulette that idk if I'm ready to play

I ******* love early MMA. It is literally my favorite thing ever, if I could have all MMA events go from start between 10AM and 12PM I absolutely would.

Couldn't ask for a better start to my weekend ever.

I got stuff to do on Saturday mornings so it’s awesome when I can just go home around 10:30 and the fights are on. Of course I could understand why others don’t like it as much

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 480 Points   |   Tied for 2086th

Oliveira vs. Makhachev
Charles Oliveira, SUB, R1
LOCK. You read right, this fight won't be close. Charles cracks Islam early with a huge hook, and snags up an immediate Guillotine choke putting Islam to sleep in the first round.

Sterling vs. Dillashaw
Aljamain Sterling, SUB, R2
Snake gets tapped by Rear Naked Choke quick and dominant work by the underrated but hated.

Yan vs. O'Malley
Sean O'Malley, DEC
Unique, awkward-angled strikes keep Petr at a distance, while he pressures searching to keep it close. O'Malley keeps his distance, and strikes well but struggles with the clinch when he's in it but can get out relatively quickly. Keeps his distance, peppering, hitting the body. Winning the first 2 rounds, but one arguable for Yan. Then Yan turns it up in the 3rd really getting success in the clinch, boxing range. 29-28x2 28-29 Split Dec for O'Malley. 5 round fight Yan wins.

Dariush vs. Gamrot
Beneil Dariush, DEC
Gimme Beneil by Uni 29-28x3, five round fight might have been different like the fight above.

Chookagian vs. Fiorot
Manon Fiorot, DEC
Manon is one of my top fighters but Katlyn is always game and she'll win the last 6minutes of this fight. Manon by Uni 29-28x3.

Muhammad vs. Brady
Sean Brady, DEC
30-27 , 29-28, 28-29 split dec but Brady does enough.

Muradov vs. Borralho
Caio Borralho, DEC
30-27x2 29-28x1 Uni.

Oezdemir vs. Krylov
Volkan Oezdemir, DEC
Volkan Hurts Nikita badly in this one in multiple rounds 29-28x3

Tukhugov vs. Almeida
Lucas Almeida, TKO, R2
late 2nd crisp combo on the cage keeps Tuk hurt until ref sees enough.

Nurmagomedov vs. Omargadzhiev
Gadzhi Omargadzhiev, DEC
29-28x2, 28-29 split dec close fight, Gadzhi wins but fades in the third.

Petrosyan vs. Dobson
AJ Dobson, TKO, R3
TKO Huge kick gets followed up with punches.

Mokaev vs. Gordon
Muhammad Mokaev, SUB, R2
RNC

Länsberg vs. Rosa
Karol Rosa, SUB, R2
Armbar.
