Waldo is clueless against kicks of any kind, so I'm just hoping we finally see Robelis use his TKD background instead of just bombing the other guy with punches.

Waldo fought badly against a 45 year old who he couldn't put away or hurt lol. Instead of adjusting he just started dancing.. Guy still doesnt check kicks and has showed no improvements. Yeah he can throw hard but thats it.

@hefferson I was originally looking to fade despaigne here but after watching waldo I think this is a perfect matchup for despaigne. Waldo provides 0 finishing threat and eats punches on the chin. This will be a test of despaignes power; Waldo has shown good durability but has no defense at all. One punch from despaigne could easily put him out cold. Also, despaigne has been calling out Waldo since before he signed. He doesn’t like the guy and clearly wants to **** him up. I’m not 100% sold on despaigne yet but the ufc is sacrificing waldo on a silver platter here

Nothing wrong with a Despaigne pick, I was just surprised that 91% ppl on Tap picked him, a very one sided vote for a slight favorite who's unproven. After this fight I will for sure know how legit he is. But for now I'm gonna fade him.

I hope the Robelis x Waldo fight goes at least to the 2nd round, so we can check how good Despaigne's cardio is.

Puncher vs Kicker

Predictions: 4 of 12 Winners, 0 Perfect, 215 Points   |   Tied for 4781st

@jeffferson
Waldo is green too. I think it will be the powerful hands of Waldo vs the kicks of Despaigne. Waldo ABSOLUTELY has an opportunity to step in on a hands-down kick of Despaigne and knock him out. But if Despaigne can maintain distance, he should take it with the more well rounded striking game, imo.

Every Despaigne fight is going to pretty much look exactly the same until he cracks the top 10, which should be by this time next year.

If you're breaking down any of his fights until that happens you're wasting your time. Absolutely nobody outside the top guys in this division are ******* with this dude. Period.

Fwiw Waldo has 3 KO losses in boxing. He did show some decent offensive wrestling against Mo Dereese in Bellator a few years back if I'm remembering right, but that was against an overmatched opponent. Still, wouldn't be surprised if Waldo tries to grind on Robelis before getting lamped.

Acosta isn't exactly green as you're saying. I get that he hasn't beaten anyone good in the UFC but from what we've seen from his 5 fights is that he's a legit fighter. He didn't look the best vs. Arlovski but saying he looked bad is pushing it a little. Even if Despaigne is the truth for now he's the only one in this fight who's green.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 480 Points   |   Tied for 1189th

Lewis vs. Nascimento
Derrick Lewis, TKO, R2
Derrick by Black Beasting all over this guy

Buckley vs. Ruziboev
Joaquin Buckley, TKO, R2
Buckley. Make it happen brother. Lock in.

Menifield vs. Ulberg
Alonzo Menifield, TKO, R3
This is a really close matchup in my mind but I'm picking the underdog. He's fought more higher-end guys.

Ferreira vs. Rębecki
Mateusz Rębecki, TKO, R2
Really tryna build this Polish guy it seems

Caceres vs. Woodson
Sean Woodson, DEC
Woodson with the youth and reach. Stinky point-fighting expected but I can see Bruce Leeroy potentially doing something

Cortes-Acosta vs. Despaigne
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
I don't think this is just hype I genuinely think that a person who's best win is a decision over current Andrei Arlovski isn't gonna stand in front of the tornado that is Robelis Despaigne

Hooper vs. Borshchev
Chase Hooper, SUB, R1
Chase Hooper my king

McKinney vs. Ribovics
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
Feels like McKinney is either gonna murder his ass in the first round or get taken out himself. T-Wrecks is more tested so I'm more willing to pick him. Plus that reach advantage matters

Ricci vs. Torres
Tabatha Ricci, DEC
No reason Ricci should lose

Waters vs. Goff
Trey Waters, DEC
Reach advantage is gonna matter. I can see Goff having trouble

Hadley vs. Johnson
Jake Hadley, DEC
Loss to Durden ain't terrible IMO but losing to ******* Ode Osbourne brother? Brother.

Gooden vs. Jousset
Kevin Jousset, DEC
Jousset is looking like a dangerous MF right now

Aldrich vs. Hardy
Veronica Hardy, DEC
I'm going to sleep through this fight.

Rusiboev I can’t see making 170. He’s all rdy big for
Middleweight. Still if he does he’s definitely an issue for Buckley. But Buckley is a dog. Lots more fights but this one im interested in

Terrance McKinney vs. Esteban Ribovics

Predictions: 6 of 12 Winners, 0 Perfect, 300 Points   |   Tied for 4150th

I see some people picking Mckinney by KO. Now, I’m not saying he can’t win this fight. But, I feel like if ANYONE to get KOed it would be McKinney who would get slept. So far from what I’m seeing, Esteban seems to be a very good clean boxer with some hidden power. And has shown to be VERY durable, with poor TD. I have hard times picking him because of that simple factor. Idk… maybe I’m missing something here? 🤔

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 540 Points   |   Tied for 539th

Lewis vs. Nascimento
Derrick Lewis, TKO, R2
hate that it's five rounds but a derrick lewis fight is a derrick lewis fight. hope it gets past round 3 I want to see fatigued hooks being traded

Buckley vs. Ruziboev
Joaquin Buckley, TKO, R2
ruizboev is great but he's an already sizable middleweight coming in on short notice down a weight class there's no way his chin can hold up through that much dehydration. also really like the streak mansa is on rn

Menifield vs. Ulberg
Carlos Ulberg, DEC
ulbergs just the more technical striker in a striking matchup not a super hard pick. already seen the impa knockout 3 times this week

Ferreira vs. Rębecki
Mateusz Rębecki, DEC
its rebecki time

Caceres vs. Woodson
Sean Woodson, DEC
I wanted to go caceres for the dog pick due to this being a fight where Woodson doesn't tower over his opponent but whenever I pick like that I get burned. how does woodson even make 45

Cortes-Acosta vs. Despaigne
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
waldo is a run of the mill heavyweight. despaigne is athletic enough to at least get ranked in the top 10 at heavyweight but would love to see him tested

Hooper vs. Borshchev
Chase Hooper, SUB, R2
your favorite fighters favorite fighter

McKinney vs. Ribovics
Terrance McKinney, TKO, R1
most entertaining man on the roster you'll either see him die or kill someone
