I've been trying a new strategy this year of finding the two favorites I trust the most and putting them in a 2-legger if I can get +money on it. Otherwise I mostly lose out or have to sit out when big favorites win. It's been going well so far.
This week I have Ruziboev and Emmers.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 4 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 325 Points   |   Tied for 3716th

Blanchfield vs. Fiorot
Erin Blanchfield, SUB, R5
I was gonna say I think Fiorot is overrated but seeing as shes only getting 20% picked I guess she's not. I like the pace blanchfield pushes & like her chances more in a 5 round fight than a 3 rounder against fiorot.

Luque vs. Buckley
Vicente Luque, TKO, R3
Fun fight. Basically what I notice from luque is he loses to anyone who is a top 10 level fighter but beats everyone else. Do I think Buckley is top 10 level? No I do not.

Silva vs. Weidman
Bruno Silva, TKO, R1
Weidman you dumb meathead please stop fighting for the love of god

Njokuani vs. McKee
Rhys McKee, TKO, R3
Either chidi gets an early finish or he quits. I don't pick quitters

Ruziboev vs. Dumas
Nursulton Ruziboev, TKO, R1
Complete mismatch

Algeo vs. Nelson
Bill Algeo, TKO, R3
Kyle nelson is underrated but I think algeo will be able to break him with his pace

Jandiroba vs. Godinez
Lupita Godinez, DEC
Godinez makes fights closer than they should & she'll probably do the same here

Petroski vs. Malkoun
Jacob Malkoun, DEC
I do think malkoun can wet blanket his way to a close decision win

Matthews vs. Buzukja
Connor Matthews, DEC
I just don't think buzukja is good at all

Pacheco vs. Loughran
Caolán Loughran, DEC
Pacheco showed he will not give up on his contender series fight but he's a punching bag now he's dropping down to bantamweight for the first time in his career. I do not like that combination

Arce vs. Burns
Julio Arce, TKO, R2
Burns has 2 mins of cardio before he gives up.

Aslan vs. Turkalj
Anton Turkalj, SUB, R2
The first fight between these two was a fun scrap. I could see a similar thing happening again. If Ibo doesn't get a finish his cardio plummets. Maybe he gets the first round finish this time but I think the pleasure man pulls through

Landwehr vs. Emmers
Jamall Emmers, DEC
If emmers can keep it on the feet I think he can pick apart Nate the train

I'm on Rhys McKee here, Chidi will give him a favorable style matchup and if it gets past the 1st round every second that passes favors Mckee, Chidi has no gas. This is 2 fighters headed in 2 very different directions in their careers. got Mckee @ +190 and it feels good.

Gut reaction I'm there with you but I'm gonna have to watch the tape first.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 6 Winners, 1 Perfect, 315 Points   |   Tied for 3841st

Petroski vs. Malkoun
Jacob Malkoun, DEC
I can see two outcomes in this fight, either Petrovski sinks up a front choke identical to the one he landed on Maximov in round 1 or Malkoun gets his single leg takedowns going and makes this look pretty easy. Malkoun's fight against Allen showed me he can hang on the ground against the better BJJ players in the division. Also the deeper this fight goes the more Malkoun's cardio will be on show. I even think he could win the exchanges on the feet with the jab. Confident pick

Matthews vs. Buzukja
Dennis Buzukja, DEC
Low level fight. Matthews is a southpaw but will switch stance, cardio appears to be suspect although he should have a size advantage here. When he fights in southpaw he carries his back hand very low and looks very hittable in that stance. Doesn't recognise the leg kick and I don't think his UFC level. Buzukja also isn't UFC calibre but out of the 2, I think his experience and well rounded skill set might work out okay here. Doesn't seem to be a power threat although I feel like if he uses the low kick he might break Matthews down over time. Buzukja defensively isn't very sound either and often backs up straight with head on the centreline. Slightly edge Buzukja but as low level as it gets.

Pacheco vs. Loughran
Caolán Loughran, TKO, R3
Haven't done too much tape on this but Pacheco coming down to 135lbs is interesting, as he has never fought at the weight class. I don't think he is UFC level where I actually rate Loughran quite highly. The tape I did watch of Pacheco his best attribute looked to be his durabilty, but that's not necessarily a good thing because that means your hittable. I can see Loughran with the forward pressure over 3 rounds and potentially breaking him late.

Arce vs. Burns
Julio Arce, TKO, R2
Hilarious fight. Burns will give you about 2.5 minutes of hell. Seems to have reasonable power and has great submission attacks on the ground. The issue is he cuts too much weight and is depleted, death gasses and looks for the door against any adversity. I expect him to be much bigger than Arce, but I can't see Burns getting a TDD because Arce has historically good TDD. This could be the easiest Round 2/3 bet Arce in history

Aslan vs. Turkalj
Ibo Aslan, TKO, R1
Simple fight to break down, either Aslan nukes the pleasure man in Round 1 as Turkalj walks into the pocket chin up and hands down. If that's not the case it probably goes like the previous fight between these 2 and Turkalj gets a submission. I'm banking on Aslan to have made the correct improvements to not death-gas and get Anton out of there and send him off to PFL

Gatto vs. Dudakova
Melissa Gatto, DEC
50/50 fight, will wait till weigh in's before working out a true side. Dudukova is coming up a weight division against a muscle heavy grappler so there's a red flag straight away, especially as she was going life and death with Frey (former atomweight). Doing tape on Gatto shows she has plenty of holes in her game, mainly submission over position, struggles with offensive wrestling as well as cardio issues. Will play off her back too. If Gatto chose to cage wrestle here she could squeak a decision but she generally likes to strike on the back foot so I dont know. Gatto split?

Landwehr vs. Emmers
Jamall Emmers, TKO, R1
I think Nate's only hope here is to wrestle for 15 minutes in which I am not sure he can pull off. Nate is a great anti-wrestler, which he has acquired from years fighting in Russia. I do think his durability is slowly declining and when he is winning fights, its often because he breaks his opponents down with his pace. We all know emmers for his fight IQ but I think he has been better lately, he will have the much sharper boxing and feel he will have a power upside a well as minute winning upside on the feet. Sure Emmers could pull a stunt but I actually like him quite a bit in this spot

Blanchfield vs. Fiorot
Erin Blanchfield, DEC
I think Blanchfield will dominate with her grappling skills.

Silva vs. Weidman
Bruno Silva, TKO, R1
Chris Weidman needs to retire.

Jandiroba vs. Godinez
Lupita Godinez, DEC
My pick is Godinez, but she has to keep the fight standing to win.

Petroski vs. Malkoun
Andre Petroski, DEC
I think Petroski will win by being the better wrestler.

Gatto vs. Dudakova
Victoria Dudakova, DEC
Easy win for Dudakova.

Predictions: 5 of 13 Winners, 0 Perfect, 280 Points   |   Tied for 4249th

Blanchfield vs. Fiorot
Manon Fiorot, TKO, R2
Let me help everyone out. This is how it goes. I have never seen a more over rated fighter beside Paddy and Molly than Erin Blanchfield. She has good BJJ but has only submitted scrubs or people there for a pay check. Her wrestling is horrible and her striking is worse. Mannon is going to kill her

Luque vs. Buckley
Vicente Luque, DEC
Luque is better everywhere

Silva vs. Weidman
Bruno Silva, TKO, R1
Everyone please wear black arm bands as a sign of mourning

Njokuani vs. McKee
Rhys McKee, DEC
Chidi has no cardio and low output and McKee has the opposite. Chidi getting cut

Ruziboev vs. Dumas
Nursulton Ruziboev, DEC
I would not pick Ruziboev against anyone but Dumbass. Battle of the frauds

Algeo vs. Nelson
Bill Algeo, DEC
I don't know what to make of this fight except Kyle Nelson is on a win streak post USADA. Still he sucks and Algeo probably doesn't

Jandiroba vs. Godinez
Lupita Godinez, DEC
Cmon, easy

Petroski vs. Malkoun
Jacob Malkoun, DEC
Malkoun has better cardio, better boxing and better wrestling. Petroski has power but that's no use on your back

Matthews vs. Buzukja
Connor Matthews, DEC
IDK

Pacheco vs. Loughran
Angel Pacheco, DEC
Loughran is a rear end

Arce vs. Burns
Julio Arce, TKO, R1
Can the UFC please cut Burns already?

Aslan vs. Turkalj
Ibo Aslan, TKO, R1
I thought Turkalj was already cut? Well better late than never

Gatto vs. Dudakova
Melissa Gatto, DEC
Gatto is the better striker and wrestler

Landwehr vs. Emmers
Jamall Emmers, DEC
Sad for Nate the Train

What makes you think Ruziboev is a fraud? He's on a 9 fight win streak and hasn't lost in over 4 years. He's finishing guys rd1 typically. Not saying he's facing that good of competition so far but hard to find anything to be overly critical about when he puts everyone away in a few minutes.
Mismatch in my opinion.

He is a can crusher bro. Last win before getting to the UFC was a 12-12 guy. Not who a prospect should be fighting. He has not impressed me. Also after R1 who knows how he will look, every single time he has gone to decision he has lost, and not against the best competition.

Huge red flags for me on this guy. Just like there was for Abus. But he is fighting Dumbass so will probably win, and the UFC is trying to push him just like they were with Abus. We all saw how that ended

Right, but he also beat a 15-2 and a 13-4 guy in his last 4 wins, as well as Brunno Ferreira who was 10-0 and has beaten both Robocop and Phil Hawes. The latter has a papier maché chin no doubt but they're still big names, especially Robocop. That is not a bad win if nothing else, so he hasn't beat only cans.

I agree there's still questions but I'd say it's too early to call him a fraud.
