Vitor Ribeiro Wiki

A former world-ranked lightweight, 3 time World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion, and 4th degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro brings considerable grappling skills into the ring or cage with him every time he fights and with wins over the likes of Joachim Hansen, Daisuke Nakamura, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Ivan Menjivar, and Mitsuhiro Ishida has certainly shown an ability to use those skills to his advantage in Mixed Martial Arts competition.

Ribeiro arrived on the world martial arts scene by capturing the World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship (Mundials) 3 times in as many years in the 76kg, 76g, and 82kg divisions respectively.

After his success on the world submission grappling scene Ribeirio would debut at World Fighting Alliances debut show winning by cut stoppage.  He would eventually go on to enjoy a high level of success fighting against world class competition in some of the top promotions the world over, eventually earning a consistent spot in the top ten of most 155 pound fighter rankings and running his record up to an impressive 20-2.

Ribeiro's future in the sport is unclear as he last fought in November of 2010 and is currently on a 3 fight losing streak.

Vitor's fighting career appears to be over as he has not fought since 2010.  He recently was seen as a referee at an UFC fight night event.
