Jairzinho Rozenstruik Wiki

Jairzinho BIGI BOY Rozenstruik is a professional Muay Thai and MMA fighter from Suriname.

Biography

Jairzinho Rozenstruik, born and raised in Suriname, took thaibox lessons in a community center, the Rens Project, at the age of eighteen. This gym was later transformed into a gym called ‘The Gym’. Once active in the gym, he was soon discovered by a top coach from VOS Gym Amsterdam, Michael Babb. Trained by Babb, he came out for the House of Legends under the supervision of Ivan Hipolite.

After 3 months of training, Jairzinho Rozenstruik stepped into the ring for the first time. He lost his first match but this only gave him more inspiration to train even harder for his next fight. He won his 2nd match with a Knock Out, and that was the beginning of the young Surinamese BIGI BOY, who later became well known as a true KO specialist. With this, he managed to put himself on the map nationally and internationally.

At the moment he has fought 83 matches. He won 77 and he lost 6 matches. Of these 83 parties, he won 65 by K.O. He also did 7 MMA matches and won five of them all by K.O. Since May 2012 he is a professional MMA competitor.

RIZIN FF

In April 2018, Jairzinho signed a multi-fight contract with the RIZIN to fight in their heavyweight division.

In May 2018, "BIGI BOY" won his promotional debut versus Andrey Kovalev at RIZIN 10 by split decision.

On February 02, 2019, Jairzinho Rozenstruik won his UFC debut against Júnior Albini at UFC Fight Night 144 in Fortaleza (Brazil) by TKO. That night he wrote history for being the first-ever Surinamese UFC fighter.

On June 22, 2019, Jairzinho Rozenstruik won his second UFC bout against Allen Crowder within nine seconds by knockout.  It was the second-fastest UFC knockout in the heavyweight division and Jairzinho was awarded his first "Performance Of The Night" bonus. The bout toke place at the UFC Fight Night 153 in Greenville (USA).

Rozenstruik faced Andrei Arlovski on 2 November 2019 at UFC 244. He won the fight via knockout in round one.

His goal

In addition to working on his international career, Jairzinho Rozenstruik is actively stimulating the Surinamese youth to stay away from the streets, by engaging in sports and giving them the opportunity to represent Suriname in a dignified way abroad, as he does. He does this by offering space for young people to play sports in his gym called ‘Team BIGI BOY’. At this moment he can count a considerable number of talented kickboxers to his gym.

In his last fight jairzinho Rozenstruik was knocked out cold by Francis Nganou in round one.
