Dustin Kimura Wiki

Dustin Kimura is an American bantamweight fighter currently signed to the UFC. He trains out of his home city of Honolulu, Hawaii. He has previously fought for King of the Cage and Pacific Xtreme Combat and has held the featherweight title in Destiny MMA. He has a notable win over Chico Camus in the UFC. Of his eleven professional wins, ten have been finishes including eight submissions.

Kimura began his amateur career in 2008. He would fight for promotions in Hawaii and was able to put together a 4-0 record with three submissions in only ten months. In 2009, he would make his professional debut with a second round submission. His first eight professional fights were all in Hawaii and he was able to go 8-0 over three years with seven finishes and four first round submissions. In 2012, he fought Shooto veteran, Guy Delameau, at PXC 34 and was able to pick up his second straight TKO victory and move his record to a perfect 9-0.

It was announced in late 2012 that Dustin had been signed by the UFC in the bantamweight division which he had never fought in before. He was set to made his bantamweight debut against Chico Camus at UFC 156. Prior to the bout, he missed weight, coming in at 139.5 pounds, so the fight was changed to a 140 pound catchweight bout. Kimura would pick up a third round submission victory. Kimura would lose for the first time when he faced Mitch Gagnon at UFC 165 in a bantamweight bout. The loss came by technical submission due to guillotine choke in the first round. He took on UFC debutant, Jon Delos Reyes, at UFC Fight Night 34 in Singapore and was able to pick up a first round armbar victory.
