The UFC increased its already sizable advantage in fan interest over its competitors in March, grabbing just under 65% of all MMA buzz for the month, up a couple of percentage points from its standing in February. Strikeforce came in second, its regular position these days, with about a quarter of the total interest that the UFC generates for its roster of fighters. The WEC meanwhile, still falls well behind both the UFC and Strikeforce in its ability to draw fan interest in its fighters, and as evidenced by the promotional strategy for its WEC 48 pay per view event, Zuffa is attempting to blur the lines between the two brands in order to generate more interest for its bantamweight and featherweight fighters.
