The Ultimate Fighting Championship enjoyed a large increase in its share of MMA fan interest in December following two high-profile early month events as well as the lead-up to its January 2nd UFC 108 event. Beginning with the “Ultimate Fighter Season 10 Finale” on December 5th featuring Kimbo Slice, and followed up with UFC 107 on December 12th, the UFC was the focal point of MMA in the month. 63% of all fan interest in the sport was targeted at UFC fighters, a 5 point increase from November. K1/Fields also enjoyed some success in generating interest from American fans, more than tripling to 4.5% of total fan interest for its New Year’s event.
